Volunteer

Instructions:

  1. Click on one of the open signup sheets.
  2. Review the list of available volunteer opportunities. 
  3. Click on “Sign up” to access the signup form.
  4. Fill out all of the blanks on the sign up form. You are not required to log on before signing up. If you are logged on, the signup form will automatically be filled in with the information in your user profile. You may override this information if you wish.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the form and click on “Sign me up!”.

Volunteers will receive a confirmation email shortly after signing up. If you have not received a confirming email within a few hours of signing up, click HERE to email the admins.

Ryan's Ride

Expo Area Setup, 6:30-8am: 4 volunteers needed. Report to the Expo Area at the beginning of your shift. Bring work gloves. May involve lifting.

Course Setup, 6-8am: 8 volunteers needed. Setup barricades and course tape. Involves some heavy lifting, bring work gloves. Report to Setup Lead at the beginning of your shift.

Course Marshals, 10:15am-12:30pm: 15 volunteers needed. Lead will check in course marshals and distribute vests, flags, etc. Course marshals are critical to the safety of both riders and spectators. Keep course and intersections free of pedestrians when riders are passing by. Course marshals will receive position assignments and specific instructions prior to the day of the event. 

Follow Rider, 10:30am-12:30pm: 1 adult rider needed to follow the last child in each wave, communicate to the stopping crew when the last child has finished. Must bring bike and helmet. If possible, wear PV jersey or jacket.

Expo Area Teardown, shift 1 – 11:15am-1:45pm: 3 volunteers needed. Bring work gloves. May involve lifting. Volunteers should report to the Expo Area 11:15am. 

Expo Area Teardown, shift 2 – noon-2:30pm: 3 volunteers needed. Bring work gloves. May involve lifting. Volunteers should report to the Expo Area noon.

Course Teardown, noon-2pm: 8 volunteers needed. Remove barricades and course tape. Involves some heavy lifting, bring work gloves and wire cutters. Report to Teardown Lead at the beginning of your shift. If volunteers are also course marshaling, they should report to the Teardown Lead as soon as their course marshal shift is over at 12:30pm.
